Field calls on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW

When letters, emails and phone calls are not getting results, a licensed agent attending in person often does. A field call gets facts from the address and puts them in a written report.

What a field call can achieve

  • Confirming that a person lives or works at an address
  • Verifying identity and establishing current contact details
  • Occupancy checks and property condition reports
  • Locating a person who has moved or gone quiet
  • Making a lawful demand for payment and finding out why an arrangement has failed
  • Pre-litigation enquiries so you know the position before you commit to court costs

Who engages us

Law firms, finance and lending businesses, body corporates, landlords and property managers and small businesses chasing an unpaid account. Clear, factual reporting is what matters, so you can decide on the next step.

Licensed and accountable

In Queensland, a person who visits individuals to serve documents or make demands for payment must hold the appropriate licence. Licensed agents carry photo identification and must act within the law. Served is a fully licensed agency, and we hold a private investigator and security licence as well.

What you receive

A written report of the attendance: when and where we attended, who we spoke to, what we observed and what we recommend. Where appropriate, we can support the report with an affidavit.

Frequently asked questions

Is a field call the same as process serving?

No. Process serving delivers specific court documents. A field call is an attendance to gather information, verify details or make a demand. Both can be done in one visit if you instruct us to.

Can you collect money on the spot?

We can make a lawful demand and report on the response. What can and cannot be done at the door is limited by the law, so we will explain what is realistic before we attend.

This page is general information about process serving. It is not legal advice. If you are unsure about service requirements in your matter, speak to a solicitor.
